iming is crucial while transplanting capsicums if you want to exercise the best farming practices. It is recommended to transplant from 3:00 pm and beyond. So in this, I’m going to take you through all the necessary steps needed to be followed in the whole life of capsicum, and before that let’s continue with where we had reached.
Steps
A farmer should make sure the soil is well soaked with at least 2 water tanks (each 2000ltrs) for 2 or 3 weeks before transplanting. Repeat the same 1 week before transplanting.
Make the plant holes with a depth of 4-5cm with a space of 30cm between the plant holes. Plant by skipping one emitter hole to achieve a spacing of 60cm between the last and the next pair within the row. The plants should achieve a zig-zag manner.
Cover the seedling with soil and press it gently.
Apply water immediately after transplanting to rid of air pockets and this encourages seedling establishment well.
Spray a chemical with will get rid of cutworms, crickets, and caterpillars on the same day transplant have been made.
On the next day, apply an anti-stress chemical/ enzymes hence a good establishment of the seedlings.
Thank you for your time. I appreciate your comment and likes too. Feel free to react.
I will post the next article. stay updated.
